Sub: Registration and Timely Submission of Statistical Returns through the Textile Statistical Return System (TSRS)

Dear Sir / Madam,

As you are aware, the Office of the Textile Commissioner, Ministry of Textiles has developed Textile Statistical Return System (TSRS) for collection of various information such as production, exports, employments from the textiles manufacturing units.

The objectives of the TSRS are to create a robust, reliable and real time database for the Indian textile sector which will be necessary for policy formation.  The portal of this TSRS is https://dev-tsrs.negd.in.  

It may be noted that submission of statistical returns is mandatory under the Collection of Statistics Act, 2008. Non-compliance attracts penalties under Section 15 (1) and 15(2) of the Act, including a penalty of up to 1,00,000 in the case of a company, with an additional penalty of up to Rs. 5,000 per day for continuing default.

Members of the Council are requested to register and submit the prescribed Annual Statistical Returns (ASR) and Monthly Statistical Returns (MSR) available on the website in a time bound manner.
