Sub: Creation of Data Bank of Technical Textile Exporters by MATEXIL
Dear Sir / Madam,
At the outset, we sincerely thank you for being a member of MATEXIL and also extend our appreciation to members who have renewed their membership with the Council.
As you are aware, MATEXIL promotes exports of Manmade Fibre Textiles and has also been entrusted by the Government with the mandate to promote exports of Technical Textiles.
In this regard , MATEXIL is in the process of creating a comprehensive Data Bank of Technical Textile Exporters. The objective is to obtain a clear understanding of the companies currently exporting Technical Textile products, the product segments being exported and the export potential of the sector.
The information will also assist MATEXIL in facilitating industry–Government interaction, identifying sector-specific issues and requirements, and making evidence-based recommendations to the Government for appropriate policy support and measures to enhance Technical Textile exports.
At present, however, MATEXIL does not have complete information regarding the Technical Textile products being exported by its members.
In this regard, we request you to kindly confirm whether your company is exporting Technical Textile products, in addition to Manmade Fibre Textile products.
For your reference and ease of identification, we are enclosing the following documents:

List of 272 HS Codes notified by the Government as Technical Textile Products – [Click to View]
- List of 255 HS Codes identified by MATEXIL as Technical Textile Products, for which the Council has submitted a representation to the Government seeking their official notification – [Click to View]
If your company is exporting products falling under any of the above HS Codes, you are requested to kindly provide the relevant details to MATEXIL on the email ID : info@matexil.org.
Alternatively, you may indicate the specific Technical Textile segment(s) in which your company is engaged in exports by filling in the enclosed details and sharing the same with the Council.
The information provided by members will enable MATEXIL to develop a comprehensive and reliable Data Bank of Technical Textile Exporters, which will be useful for targeted export promotion activities, market development initiatives, Government policy interventions and greater industry–Government coordination.
We solicit your active support and cooperation in this important initiative. Your participation will help MATEXIL in its efforts to promote Technical Textile exports and enhance India’s global market share in this high-potential sector.
