Sub: Creation of Data Bank for Technical Textile Exporters
Dear Sir / Madam,
At the outset, we extend our sincere thanks to you for becoming a member of MATEXIL, and also to those members who have renewed their membership with us.
As you are aware, MATEXIL promotes the exports of Manmade Fibre Textiles and has also received a mandate from the government to promote exports of Technical Textile products.
MATEXIL is currently in the process of scaling up Technical Textile exports to facilitate more fruitful industry interactions. We are also sending suggestions to the Ministry on government support required to increase exports of Technical Textiles.
However, we do not have complete information on current exports in this sector.
In view of the above, we request you to kindly confirm whether you are exporting products under Technical Textiles in addition to products under Manmade Fibre Textiles.
To facilitate the government and provide accurate information, we are enclosing the following documents:

List of 272 HS Codes notified by the government as Technical Textile Products. (Click to View)

List of 255 HS Codes identified by MATEXIL as Technical Textile Products, for which we have sent a representation to the government for official notification. (Click to View)
In case you are exporting products falling under the above HS Codes, we request you to kindly inform us accordingly.
Alternatively, you may also inform us of the specific segment under which you are exporting Technical Textile products by sharing the enclosed documents with your company details.
We solicit your support and cooperation in this matter, which will enable us to promote exports of Technical Textiles and increase India’s global market share.
