Sub : Effectiveness of the ROSCTL Scheme for Madeups (including Home Textiles) in increasing exports

Dear Sir/Madam,

As you are aware, the benefit of  ROSCTL (Rebate of State and Central Taxes and Levies) Scheme is available on exports of Madeups (including Home Textiles).

In this regard, the Government is in the process of assessing the impact of the ROSCTL Scheme on exports of Madeups ( including  home textiles), particularly with respect to the extent to which the scheme helps in neutralizing embedded State and Central taxes and levies and improving the competitiveness  of exports .

In view of the above, we would request all our members exporting home textiles to please share their feedback on the following points:

1. Whether the present ROSCTL rates adequately compensate for the embedded taxes and levies on your export products.
2. Whether the scheme has improved the competitiveness of your home textile exports in international markets.
3. Has the ROSCTL Scheme led to increase in exports.
4. Suggestions, if any, for improvement in the scheme.
