Sub: Request for Export Details of Manmade Fibre Textiles (MMF) and Technical Textiles for FY 2025-26 – Formulation of Export Strategy and Action Plan
Dear Sir / Madam,
As you are aware, the Government has set an ambitious export target of USD 11 billion for Manmade Fibre (MMF) Textiles and USD 10 billion for Technical Textiles by 2030.
In this context, MATEXIL is in the process of preparing a comprehensive Action Plan and Export Strategy for the MMF and Technical Textiles sectors. The Council is also engaging with the Government and other relevant stakeholders to identify appropriate measures and policy interventions required to enhance the global competitiveness of the sector and achieve the envisaged export targets.
Request for Export Details
In order to formulate a realistic and data-driven strategy, it is essential for the Council to have an accurate assessment of the current export performance of its member companies.
We, therefore, request all members to provide details of their exports relating to MMF Textiles and/or Technical Textiles for FY 2025-26, in the following format:

Members are requested to provide the actual export turnover/value for FY 2025-26, preferably in USD, and indicate the major products exported.
The information received from members will assist MATEXIL in:
(a) Assessing the present export base and product-wise export performance of the sector;
(b) Identifying key products and markets with export potential;
(c) Understanding the gaps and challenges faced by exporters
(d) Developing suitable policy recommendations and trade facilitation measures;
(e) Formulating an effective Export Action Plan and Strategy up to 2030; and
Presenting a consolidated and evidence-based proposal to the Government for achieving the targeted export growth.

The information provided will be used for the purpose of sectoral assessment, policy formulation and representation to the Government. Further, the data received from the members will be treated as confidential.
